This time you can celebrate Diwali on two different Muhurats because the first Muhurta will be available to you in Pradosh Kaal. Let us tell you that this year on the occasion of Diwali, the Muhurta of Pradosh Kaal will be from 5:36 pm to 8:11 pm.

And the second Diwali 2024 Shubh Muhurat is happening in Vrishabha Kaal, in which its auspicious time will be from 6:20 pm to 8:15 pm. 

You can worship Lakshmi Mata in any of these two muhurats. Apart from these two muhurats, another muhurta, which is the most auspicious and special, will be from 5:36 pm to 6:00 pm and 15 minutes; that is, you will get a total of 41 minutes of very auspicious time for Lakshmi Puja.

Therefore, you should not let this auspicious time go empty on Diwali 2024, Date 31 October 2024.

Diwali 2024 Pujan Vidhi

On the day of Diwali, you should clean your house and yourself thoroughly, purify yourself, and make a Swastika sign in the north of the house.

And put rice or vegetables on this Swastika, spread a red cloth on the wood, and unveil the idol of Lakshmi Ganesh on this cloth. Along with this, you will also install the idols of Lord Shri Ganesh, Lord Surya Dev, Maa Durga, Lord Shiva, and Lord Vishnu included in Panchdev with Vedic mantras. 

According to Diwali 2024 Pujan Vidhi, now you will first worship Lord Ganesha with the help of Vedic mantras; after that, you will worship Lakshmi Mata and offer red vermilion to the mother. After this, you will worship the Panch Divas.

And after performing the puja, you will perform the aarti of Lakshmi Mata and Lord Shri Ganesh. And after offering the prasad to God, distribute it among the devotees and light lamps and burst crackers.

Diwali 2024 Calendar

On the first day of the Diwali festival, i.e., on Tuesday, 29 October 2024, the festival of Dhanteras will be celebrated with great pomp. On this festival, people buy and sell gold, silver, brass, new vehicles, etc., and on the second day of the Diwali festival, i.e., on Thursday, 31 October 2024, Chhoti Diwali will be celebrated. 

On the occasion of this Diwali, a lamp of Lord Yama is lit outside the house. Under the Diwali 2024 Calendar, Lakshmi Puja, i.e., Badi Diwali, will be celebrated on 1 November 2024; on this day, lamp garlands will be lit.

Crackers will burst. Lord Govardhan Puja will be done on Saturday, 2 November 2024, and on the last and 5th day of Diwali, according to the Diwali 2024 Date, the festival of Bhai Dooj, which is a symbol of mutual love and harmony between brother and sister, will be celebrated with great pomp.

Diwali Shubh Muhurat and Amavasya Tithi Timings

On 1 November 2024, Lord Surya will rise at 6:36 am. And the time of sunset will be at 5:44 in the evening. As per Diwali Shubh Muhurat and Amavasya Tithi Timings, the start of Amavasya Tithi will be from 31st October 03:53 pm to 1st November 2024 06:17 am the next day.

The time of Pradosh Puja will be from 1st November 2024, 5:44 pm to 8:19 pm. And similarly, as per Diwali 2024 Date, the time of Nishita Kaal will be from 1st November 2024 11:44 pm to 2nd November 12:36 pm the next day. 

Deepawali is a festival in which many traditions have been going on, which include lighting ghee lamps, decorating houses with rangoli and colorful lights, cleaning and whitewashing houses, and worshiping Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha. Exchanging gifts and wearing new clothes are included.
