South Australian households on low or fixed incomes have the opportunity to receive up to $1,100 in cost-of-living concessions, but the clock is ticking. Applications must be submitted before December 31, 2024 to take advantage of this financial assistance.

During the busy holiday season, it’s easy to overlook such opportunities, but this support could make a significant difference for eligible households, including older South Australians, families, single parents, and people with disabilities.

Who Can Benefit?

Roughly 215,000 households in South Australia are eligible for these concessions, yet many haven’t applied. Human Services Minister Nat Cook emphasized that countless households struggling with rising living costs may qualify but are unaware of their eligibility.

If you hold a concession card, receive Centrelink payments, or are on a low income, you might qualify. Eligible cards and payments include:

Pensioner Concession Card

Veteran Gold Card
Low Income Health Care Cards
Commonwealth Seniors Health Card
Centrelink payments like JobSeeker, Parenting Payment, ABSTUDY, Youth Allowance, and more.
