Although McCarthy has an inherent defense against some of those charges because of Prescott’s absence, Dallas (3-6) is fresh off a 34-6 thrashing at the hands of the Eagles.
That is the most recent instance of a team that was supposed to contend for the NFC championship this year failing completely and consistently.
Although the Texans haven’t played as well as they did the previous season, C.J. Stroud has led Houston to a 6-4 record and the first spot in the AFC South.
Additionally, Houston will welcome back wide receiver Nico Collins, who was a major target for Stroud before to his hamstring ailment requiring a protracted recuperation.
